INJECTION LIPOLYSIS - INTRALIPOTHERAPY

Fat-dissolving injections

Problems with excess fat tissue are very common. They also occur in people who try to maintain their figure - those who follow a diet and are physically active. It turns out that following the rules of proper nutrition and practicing sports are not always effective - in many cases there is an individual tendency to gain weight, regardless of will and preventive measures. Stubborn fat that responds to neither diet nor exercise can be a real problem. The only way to remove it is professional medical treatments.

Liquidation of fat tissue

Intralipotherapy is a new, effective aesthetic medicine technique for reducing fat tissue. Injection lipolysis, i.e. non-invasive removal of fat tissue, allows the elimination of fatty deposits without surgical intervention using fat-dissolving injections. A substance contained in injections that causes the breakdown of adipocytes, or fat cells. After administration, the drug easily penetrates cell membranes into their interior, causing disruption of the membrane structure and breakdown of triglycerides. It is then transported by the body to the liver, where the fats are broken down and excreted from the body. In this way, adipose tissue is permanently eliminated. It is most often used to reduce fat tissue on the face - to remove the so-called second chin - as well as in other areas of the body, such as the abdomen, buttocks, thighs and hips.

What is injection lipolysis?

Phosphatidylcholine PPC is a natural component of our body - lecithin. It has been used for over 50 years as a drug with anti-cholester and anti-triglyceride properties, as this substance promotes the dissolution of cholesterol in fat cells. It was used to treat fat embolisms or reduce blood lipids. Scientific research on the mechanism of fat removal from the body has shown that lecithin has a specific effect on fat cells - adipocytes. It easily penetrates cell membranes into their interior, and when administered in larger amounts, it causes the structure of the membranes to loosen and, as a result, to tear them apart. After entering the fat cell, it causes the breakdown of triglycerides accumulated in it. Then, together with lipoproteins, it is transported to the liver. There, the final breakdown of fats takes place and their removal from the body. Therefore, the removal of dissolved fat takes place using normal physiological processes, i.e. the lymphatic system, circulatory system and the immune system. It should be mentioned that during this procedure, the skin structures: blood vessels and nerves are not damaged. . The greatest body shaping effects are achieved in patients with fat accumulation that cannot be reduced through diet and exercise. In patients with severe and extensive obesity, this procedure is ineffective.

What does the lipolysis treatment look like?

The treatment involves injecting the preparation in a precisely determined dose by the doctor, directly into the fatty tissue that is to be reduced. Before the treatment, an anesthetic ointment may be applied to selected, marked areas. Thanks to the anesthesia used and the use of very thin needles, the procedure is very well tolerated by patients. Then, after disinfecting the skin, the doctor injects the preparation into the marked places using a very thin needle. Redness and a burning sensation appear at the injection site, which disappear quickly. After the procedure, significant swelling and persistent burning redness or minor hematomas may occur. These are typical and normal symptoms of fat cell breakdown. The applied substance causes a chemical reaction, as a result of which excess fat tissue is dissolved, by breaking down complex fats into simpler ones and metabolically removing them. After the treatment, the skin remains smooth and firm, because the breakdown of cells accumulating fat also causes local elimination of cellulite. The duration of the treatment ranges from 20-50 minutes, and the number of treatments necessary depends on the thickness of the fatty tissue. In order to obtain the best results, it is recommended to repeat the lipolysis treatment two to four times at 4-6 week intervals. The effects can be seen 3 weeks after the first treatment. After the treatment, no scars or other irregularities appear on the skin surface. Generally, it is a loss of 2-4 centimeters in the circumference, where the preparation was administered.
