Sweating is a normal body process. There are approximately 2-3 million sweat glands on the human body, and there are on average 300 glands per 1 cm2. Treatment of excessive sweating
- General recommendations:
- hygiene, herbal baths for hands and feet (oak bark, mint, walnut leaves, sage, chamomile, birch bark) soak twice a week for about 30 minutes.
- wearing loose-fitting clothes made of natural fibers
- frequent change of clothes/shoes
- avoiding coffee, alcohol and spicy spices
- reduction of stress, tension and anxiety
- frequent airing of the workplace
- antiperspirants containing aluminum chloride - temporarily close sweat ducts. They are used at night, initially every day, then applications are reduced to once every 2-3 weeks. The effectiveness is up to 90%, but unfortunately over time they may cause skin irritation.

What does the laser treatment of hyperhidrosis look like
The treatment involves irradiating the sweat glands with a laser beam, which causes their overheating and irreversible destruction. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. After the procedure, the previously administered anesthesia is removed using a suction device. Sweat glands that are sensitive to high temperature die following the treatment.
