GALVANIZATION
This is a treatment based on direct current (galvanic). A distinction is made between anodic and cathodic galvanization. Anodal has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, and cathodic increases skin blood circulation. The type of galvanization is selected depending on the needs and problems of the patient's skin.
WHO IS THIS TREATMENT INTENDED FOR?
Galvanization is intended for people with all skin types. Just remember to choose the type appropriate to the patient's needs (the beautician will help you choose the right one).
INDICATIONS FOR ANODE GALVANIZATION:
- Telangiectasia (dilated small blood vessels)
- Rosacea
- Skin vascular neuroses
- Frostbite
- Dilated sebaceous gland openings after mechanical skin cleansing
- Chronic pain and inflammation syndromes
INDICATIONS FOR CATHODE GALVANIZATION:
- Loss of skin tension and elasticity
- Skin blood circulation disorders
- Need to improve the nutritional status of the skin
- The need to accelerate tissue regeneration processes
WHAT DOES THE GALVANIZATION TREATMENT LOOK LIKE?
Galvanization involves a constant flow of current generated by two electrodes (passive and active). Active electrodes can have various shapes, which are selected depending on the needs and treatment area. A moist foundation is applied to the skin to facilitate the flow of electricity and also protect the skin. Depending on the electrode we use (positive or negative), appropriate changes occur in the cells. The dose of current is selected individually according to the patient's sensations, who may feel tingling and a characteristic metallic taste in the mouth during the treatment. After the treatment, slight redness may appear, but this is a natural symptom and disappears after a few hours after the treatment.
FREQUENCY
Galvanization can be performed in a series of 10-15 treatments every other day (the series can be repeated after a 2-week break) or it can complement other treatments.
EFFECTS
Each patient should expect different effects depending on the number of treatments performed and the type of galvanization performed.
